Skilled Worker Visa
The Australian Immigration program offers places for skilled workers intending to apply for an Australian Skilled Worker Visa. Age, Qualifications, experience and other factors are considered. Under the Australian skilled immigration program, skilled migrant and skilled worker applicants can use their qualifications, work experience and language ability to satisfy Australian immigration requirements and live and work in Australia. A person should meet the following requirement:
Age - must be less than 45 at the time of application.
English language -should have sufficient ability in the English language at least at a vocational level to work in Australia.
Qualifications -must have post-secondary qualifications and skills must be assessed by the relevant assessing authority as suitable for nominated occupation.
Nominated occupation - applicant is nominated a skilled occupation, which fits his/her skills and qualifications. Nominated occupation must be found on the Skilled Occupations List.
Latest work experience - the period of work experience required will vary depending on the number of points which a person is granted for nominated occupation.
Australian qualification exemption - Applicant do not need to meet the work experience requirement if have completed an Australian qualification less than 6 months before lodging your visa application.
Skills assessment - before application the skills must have assessed by the Australian assessing authority designated to assess nominated occupation.
